Arm rappel on a not-so-steep slope

Arm Rappel is not a rappel per se,but a similar technique that uses ropes to descend a mildly steep terrain, without the need for harness, friction device or any other piece of gear. the method uses the friction along the person's arms in order to control the speed of descent One can add coils of rope arround the arms to add friction.

For descending steeper terrain without a harness, one can use the Dulferzits rappel although it is unrecommended.

Most important, this method has a huge saefety disadvantage: With this method the person is not connected to the rope! He has no harness and no other means of attaching himself to the rope.
