Bowline with Yosemite finish

איבטוח 669

Yosemite finish is a method for securing knots, exspecially Bowline. Unlike the common method for securing knots, that use an additional stopper knot on the rope end (an Overhand or a Double overhand knot), this method finishes the knot by passing the rope end through the knot one more time, thus creating extra friction to prevent it from undoing itself. This is even more so when the knot is loaded, of course.

The Yosemite finish was invented in Yosemite valey, in CA, USA, for securing a Bowline, and equally holds for other knots.
